Miss Mary Mack - Framed

Here she is in all her glory - I just love the frame (sorry about the glare I couldn't get a good picture without).

Onto other business - no I didn't go to jail - passed the written test yesterday, go for my driving test Monday, and I'll be a licensed driver again. I'm bad, what can I say? (Oh, and the jail thing - just some traffic warrants; nothing too bad. I just need to get those paid off). ;)

Miss Mary Mack

I *might* get this done by my birthday since I've gone down the entire left side with the border since this picture. (And I take it back - *Firefox* wouldn't let me upload images to blogger, blogger wasn't the culprit this time. ;) )Anyway - appropriate for Halloween, isn't she? Have a happy one!

Time to get back to this one....

I had a slight attack of the frogs - not the plague variety but still. I had to frog the heart with and silver - at least I had buttons right so I'm going up from there. ;)

Hope everyone's having a good weekend!

Always Make Sure....

...BOTH ends of the usb cable are attached. (maybe why I haven't posted in more than a week, ya think?) :)

Another few rows on her dress. I'm trying to work on this at least once a week; so far so good.

A couple of progress pics to share

First of course, Miss Mary Mack by La D Da - a few more rows on her dress.

The second pic is a new start - Haunted Wool by Kit and Bixby - I call him zombie sheep. ;)

I also finally finished frogging Cirque but I just couldn't restart the frogged part tonight. Maybe tomorrow. We'll see.

I hope everyone is keeping cool - we topped out at 107 today and we won't even mention the heat index.

Next up - and a finish (almost)

Next up is Miss Mary Mack - she's been neglected lately because of bear but she's been calling to me lately and I'd like to finish her up next. I worked some on the inner border and the last 'black' and part of the dress today.

And here's bear; I say 'almost' finished because I have backstitching to do still on the outer and inner border (that won't take too long) and then he can have a bath and be mailed on Friday. This is the last of the charity stitching for awhile I swear that I'm not going to look at the Love Quilts website for another month or two I just can't say no, y'know? Oh, and Charlie at the Pitt was showing this off today and said to another customer 'Have you seen this isn't it great? His name is Charlie'. lol I said, 'Nope you're not getting this one it's getting mailed Friday.' Patterns online has another Stoney Creek design with another version of the bear I might stitch for Charlie; I just can't 'bear' to stitch this one over again. You can find the link to the pattern I'm considering here.

A Cloudy Day

First up Charlie Wingate (and yes I named my cat after him and it was more appropriate than I realized at the time) he's been out for a couple of weeks - th e sling - but he's getting back into the groove and we were glad to see him today.

They're still working on the roof of the stadium - I don't know if I could be that high off the ground for 8+ hours a day but they do it -and they've made some progress:

A little blurry but the latest on the 12 Days ornie I'm working on. I'm down to the four corners and then I'm done. I got the backstitching done the other day. This one is going much faster than I thought it would.

And finally Miss Mary Mack - I just love this one and I need to find an appropriate Gothic frame for her. I'm also reading Jane Eyre right now and for some reason that always reminds me of Miss Mary. ;)

More rain is supposed to be coming in today but it's stalled out to the west of us.

Have a good weekend!!

Today's Movie

The Illusionist with Ed Norton, Paul Giamatti and Jessica Biel. It kept me guessing until the end (and usually I figure out the end about halfway through). :) Five stars from me and I have a new favorite Paul Giamatti. You'll know him from Sideways and Cinderella Man. I think I'm going to have to catch up on his movies now - and believe me I have a lot to catch up on; everything from The Nanny Diaries to Big Momma's House.
Anyway, here he is:

I also worked a bit on the 12 Days ornie and Miss Mary Mack - I'll have pics of those later on.

Some Long Delayed Pictures

Miss Mary Mack - I love her but I am getting tired of all the black - it's Crescent Colours Blackbird. I just love their thread btw.

Here's Cirque so far - bottom half of page 2 is done and the beginnings of the top half - I like this MUCH better than the navy blue fabric; just too dark to stitch on for me.

I have a picture of the 1st day ornament so far but for some reason blogger wouldn't let me add another picture to this post. I'll update later on with that one.

Update

It is definitely a software issue with my digital camera. I have to go with Adobe photoshop or see if I can find another program I can use. It shouldn't be that proprietary I wouldn't think.

And on the thread - I found it. Now I can start Miss Mary Mack and officialy add her to my WIP list.

Nothing else new - oh except a pregnant lady got stuck in high water yesterday - and what did she say when the firemen (two trucks and police and an ambulance) rescued her? Wait for it.... 'I didn't see it'. And I'll leave it to you to insert your own comment on that one. ;)
