I'm Back!

After a bout of cleaning I can't find my current WIP so here's one I pulled out to work on instead:

Birds of a Feather Counting Magpies

A few things have been going on while I've been gone the most important being the truck finally died the good death (burned up in the parking lot at home no less - can't get luckier than that) but wait, that's not the best part. Dad had left his Town and Country with me to drive while they went to Florida for a few months; told him about the truck and he said, get this 'why don't you just keep the minivan and register it in Texas?' Am I a spoiled brat or what? Love you Dad (and not just for that).

What else....work is going well, we're just taking mostly internal calls now so maybe I won't have to spend a fortune on the chiropractor....the Yankees are losing and the Rangers are in first place.....did the rangers sell their souls to the devils instead of the Yanks (Damn Yankees - an old, old, old musical).

Danny better NOT get voted off tonight and we lost TY from DWTS. And I haven't forgotten we still have a drawing to do - don't forget to follow!

For Some Reason...

I can print but not scan. I'll toubleshoot it later on and update you on LHN's Neighborhood. I *almost* have the middle tree finished. In the meantime here are some pictures from this weekend. First one is my Dad:

This one is my friend Norman (doesn't he take a great picture?) and his waitresses; on the left is Liz, on the right Linda (from the Pitt of course)

And here's an old picture of Norman and me at the Yankees game in 2006 (a yearly thing with us):

Yankees Win!

Finally - they lost the first two to the Rangers and they finally won the night I was there. And it's official; Derek Jeter (my favorite player) is better looking in person). I was 21 rows back of home plate; these were absolutely the best seats I've ever had for a Rangers game. Oh, and that really blurry picture (I should have fixed it) is Charly Pride the cw singer. MLB honored the Negro Leagues last night by drafting a player who never made it to the big leagues because of the color barrier and we got Charly. He got a framed team Jersey and customized Ranger cowboy boots for his signing bonus. We had a blast!

Another Update

I'm glad I finally got around to stitching this one - I feel another pinkeep coming on. ;)

No other news except I scored big in the Yankees tickets department. They sell out so fast at the Ballpark that later on in the season they have a lottery where they release better seats than you can get at the regular Texas Rangers website. I got picked for this one and scored seats behind the Yankees dugout only 25 rows back. Not close enough to talk to them but definitely close enough to score some great pictures. I'll post those after the game; not until the first week in August. Can't wait!

On the work front we had our shift bid and I scored there too; after three years on nights I got a 4 day workweek 10 hr shift from 8am-7pm. Sunday, Monday and Wednesday off; can't get better than that, right?
